Originally from the wilds of Northern California, I an obstetrician/gynecologist who retired from clinical practice to pursue a career in medical communications.  I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of California, Davis with a major in Physiology and minors in Comparative Literature and Latin.  I went on to complete medical school at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in Hershey, PA and my ob/gyn residency in Phoenix, AZ. I received my board certification in 2009 and am a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG).

I am interested in writing and editing on any and all topics to do with medicine, health, nutrition, and exercise.  I have a particular interest in women’s health, as I spent many years as a women’s health practitioner.  I am certified by the Board of Editors in the Life Sciences and have completed the Essential Skills Certificate with the American Medical Writers’ Association.

My interests, other than reading and writing, include hiking, yoga, movies, health (exercise and nutrition), travel (international and domestic), and dancing (particularly Argentine Tango).  I live in Portland, Oregon, with my husband and three cats.
